Our History
How it all began...

Wayne and Jay MacDermott moved to Kelowna in 1994 with the lifelong dream of opening their own men’s clothing store.  Wayne had been in the clothing business since 1974 and was ready for the big show. That dream became a reality in April of 1995. 

In 2005 MacDermott’s underwent a major renovation adding over 2000 square feet of retail space. With this addition came the extra space needed to start carrying a full range of shoes and boots. Also included was the Tommy Bahama shop-in-shop. Now carrying both men's and ladies' fashions, this is the only store of its kind in North America. 

The stylish men of Kelowna have come to trust the staff at MacDermott's and when Wayne says "This is for you, you're buying it", you listen. With 37 years of experience in the men's wear business, it's fair to say… he really knows his stuff.  

Since moving to Kelowna, Wayne and Jay have never looked back. MacDermott's celebrated 15 great years in 2010.
